  • Addressing the Board- Board meetings are meetings of the Governing Board held in public, not public forums, and will be held in a civil, orderly and respectful manner.  All public comments or questions should be addressed to the board through the board president. To assure an orderly meeting and an equal opportunity for each speaker, persons wishing to address the Board must fill out a speaker card.  Cards are available at the meeting and on the District website.  Cards must be submitted to the Secretary or Clerk of the Board.  The speaker may choose to speak during public comment or at the time of the agenda item prior to board consideration.   The Governing Board may place limitations on the total time to be devoted to each topic if it finds that the number of speakers would impede the Board’s ability to conduct its business in a timely manner.  

  • Persons with Disabilities- Upon request, this agenda will be made available in appropriate alternative formats to persons with disabilities, as required by Section 202 of the American Disabilities Act of 1990.  Any individual needing special accommodations should directly contact the Office of the Superintendent at least 72 hours before the meeting.

  • Meeting Ending Time- Adjournment will be no later than 10:30 p.m. for all regular and special meetings unless extended to a specific time as determined by a majority of the Board.

  • Record Keeping- For accuracy, all regular meetings of the Board of Education are tape-recorded.  Tape recordings are kept on file for a period no less than thirty days.

  • Closed Session- The Board of Education may meet in closed session for discussion of labor negotiations, student discipline, personnel matters, litigation, and other matters as provided for under California State Law.

  • Minutes indicated per item are approximate durations.
