As a part of our ongoing commitment to information sharing and transparency in this process, the Superintendent will share the tool used to present the district’s responses to questions received from the community and the 7-11 Committee members. This document will be made available on the district website and will be continually updated throughout the 7-11 committee process.

NVUSD 7-11 Response to Inquiries
|

District Staff will present student academic performance data on standardized assessment measures at the four schools under consideration. For comparison and context, similar assessment data from other NVUSD schools will be included along with demographic subgroup information. Additionally, information regarding the specialized programs offered at these schools will be presented. The impact of potential school closures on these programs will be considered and discussed.

Small School Academic Performance and Programs

District Staff will present further facilities information to better understand current and future capacity of the four school campuses being discussed. In addition, staff will revisit enrollment analysis data in order to understand the impacts of potential school closures on resident students. District staff will bring forth a recommendation to narrow our focus to two specific schools in order to mitigate the adverse impacts of school closures. Staff will recommend keeping two of the four schools open based on the following criteria: 1) Student resident enrollment, 2) Facility capacity: room utilization and acreage, and 3) Geographical access.
