Throughout the year there are changes to employee status due to many situations which include separations in employment, hiring of new staff, and changes in current status. It is the charge of the Human Resources Department to ensure the appropriate staffing of the schools. The individuals included on this report have completed all hiring processes and are ready to begin their employment with the Beverly Hills Unified School District should the Board approve their hiring. All individuals are appropriately credentialed for the assignments for which they are being hired, and all positions are already included within the Board's approved budget, fall within restricted categorical funding categories, and/or are legally or contractually required positions. |

Over the course of the year, the District requires the services of consultants who provide a variety of services to the district under professional services agreements. At this time, the Board is asked to approve an agreement with Dasnita Sinaga to play for all of Horace Mann's middle school choral performances, including any necessary rehearsal - 11-13-18 to 5-30-19. |

The Purchase Orders have been issued for supplies, services and equipment according to Board Policy, Education Code, and Public Contract code. The period that was covered for the purchase orders issued were from October 22, 2018 through October 31, 2018. Each purchase order was reviewed for funding availability as well as quality and price. The purchase order total for the aggregate of these reports is $336,931.02 for the General Fund and $24,695.00 for the Cafeteria Fund. |

This contract is designed to serve BHHS students with disabilities gain work experience through work based learning. This contract is funded by the Department of Rehab services and a stipend is paid to the Work Coordinator facilitating the services. All funding is through the Department of Rehab. |

Terry Tao - Agreement for Special Services

The Superintendent has directed the District Information Technology to expire its existing Exchange email system and convert the district into a solely Google for Education district. This is the cost for services that specialize in seamless Exchange/Outlook to Google migrations. This cost will ensure this complex transition goes as smoothly and with as minimal impact to our end users as possible. This quote includes migration of all users’ emails, contacts, calendars, signatures, etc over to Google. This service also includes an audit to ensure environment is safe for staff and students.

BHUSD Google Migration agreement

Gaggle monitors student usage within the District’s Google for Education environment. The vendor uses technology and live staff to monitor and analyze all student activity within GAFE. In particular Gaggle is able to monitor student activity within Google Drive for acts such as bullying, sexual misconduct, etc.

This service will create technology automation to automate staff user account management between County HRS system and District technology user accounts. This system will create a more efficient process that will save staff hours maintaining user databases in both systems thus saving time, money, and increasing new staff onboarding time.

Pursuant to Education Code 42630 et al, the District has issued warrants for salary, benefits, voluntary deductions and payments for goods and services from approved purchase orders and/or contracts. Each warrant has been reviewed for proper documentation and is in accordance with Education Code, Public Contract Code, and Board Policy. The warrant register for the month ending October 31,2018 is $2,380,248.13 for payroll and $4,325,926.04 for commercial vendor/contractor payments for a total disbursement of $6,706,174.17.
