Rationale:
In order to provide a venue for the Beverly Hills High School Music Department's Vocal Music Program Winter Concert with the Peterson Theater (KL Peters Auditorium) being unavailable due to construction, the rental of a local theater is required. The concert is scheduled for December 12, 2018 with the dress rehearsal on December 3, 2018. The District has reached out to Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills to rent the Corwin Family Sanctuary for these two evenings for a fee of $2,812.50 plus a cleaning/damage fee of $500. The Peterson Theater (KL Peters Auditorium) will be unavailable for at least 2018-19 and possibly longer. Future Board items will request authorization to provide a venue for the BHHS Music Department as needed. Measure E funds will be utilized to pay for this rental because the Peterson Theater (KL Peters Auditorium) is unavailable as a consequence of the construction of the Beverly High School Modernization Project.

Financial Impact:
The cost of rental with Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills for the Corwin Family Sanctuary, $2,812.50 plus a cleaning/damage fee of $500 for a total of $3,312.50, would be paid for with previously budgeted funds in Measure E for the Beverly Hills High School Modernization Project.
