On September 26, 2017, the Board of Education adopted Resolution No. 2017-2018-007 to prequalify construction contractors to perform services relating to projects utilizing a Lease-Leaseback (LLB) Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) approach. This Resolution authorized the Superintendent to issue a Request for Qualifications (RFQ), to evaluate the responses to the RFQ, to assign a best value score to each response, and to rank all responses from best value to lowest best value to the District, all to be ratified by the Board of Education.
On November 28, 2018, the Superintendent directed the bond manager, TCDS, to proceed with updating the prequalification of construction contractors to perform services relating to projects utilizing an LLB GMP approach and to issue a request for qualifications for pre-construction and lease/leaseback services.
After the RFQ process is completed, a recommendation will be made to the Board of Education for the selection of the LLB contractor for the El Rodeo School Modernization project. |

The replacement of the ADA ramp at the Beverly Vista School is necessary because it is currently non-compliant with ADA requirements.
The ramp has to be re-designed to comply with ADA as well as meet the City of Beverly Hills requirements and address existing conditions at the site. Two architectural firms were requested to submit a proposal to include surveying of the existing sidewalk, ramp and handicap drop off area as well as the submittal of right of way design drawings to the City of Beverly Hills for approval. Once the City of Beverly Hills approval is received, the District will bid the project for construction.
The two firms submitted proposals, and SVA Architects provided the lower proposal at $6,000. Reimbursable expenses may be submitted upon District’s approval of such expenses.

|
Costs associated with the Beverly Vista school ADA ramp re-design will be paid for with previously budgeted funds in Measure E for the Beverly Vista Modernization. |
